Patients with diabetes are prone to recurring and even resistant Candidiasis, making treatment challenging. Many hypotheses proposed related susceptibility of diabetic patients Candida. The prevalence species Candida in a particular community might be different compared other community. This study aimed determine the colony its oral cavity included CDM (Chronic Disease Management) program Yogyakarta. One hundred type 2 (n= 100) were recruited as subjects this study. classified into controlled uncontrolled Diabetes mellitus (DM). Samples rinse solution collected number colonies using CHROMagar medium. There 47 53 DM, respectively. mean (1003.13) was higher than that (478.43). most commonly identified C. albicans glabrata, Female had (859.51) male (299.21). often both genders albicans. In addition, consisted 83 geriatric 17 non subjects, which (761.77) non-geriatric (545.71). Mann Whitney test demonstrated there significant difference (p = 0.009) between female.
